Any recent experiences traveling to Thailand, Vietnam, Turkey, Laos, or Malaysia? I have been to all of those countries and lived in three of them (so their immigration would have a record of me being there legally, for some time, with no legal problems, etc). My girlfriend is from Thailand. We live in the US. It is time we visit her family and friends. Ideally, we would go to Thailand. If that is not possible, we are willing to travel to one of the other countries I list and have her sisters and grandmother come meet us. As they are Thai citizens, they cannot get visas easily for many countries, but Vietnam, Turkey, Laos, and Malaysia would not be a problem and they would be good trips for them. I am a Tier 1, misdemeanor CP possession (no distribution or other charges of any sort). I have support of my PO and therapist to travel even though I have 2 years left on my probation. If I was going alone, I can understand gambling with my $ and getting rejected… but I am not looking to gamble on paying for trips for 4 people and then me being rejected! haha. I have money, but I am no fool with it! Sorry for being so detailed. This is my first post ever about being on the registry and seeking advice.
My husband is an RSO and we had no issues with Turkey in 2021. We arrived into Europe via Frankfurt and then went to Croatia first before Turkey.
you cannot go to Turkey at all
I do not have personal experience with going to Malaysia, Thailand or Vietnam while on the registry. Turkey will allow you to enter with no problem at all and last year I spent three months in Armenia with no problem at all. In June I was in Hong Kong with family from the Philippines and was allowed to enter after a secondary screening. I have been to Hong Kong three different times and this was the first time I was put through the extra screening.
I am looking for the same information. My wife is Thai and I’m going through this hellish nightmare right now. They took both my US pp and expires UK pp in March and I have been unable to even get them back from the DA for even a short visit before I’m sentenced.
