Spain travelers within last two years??

Hello Friends,

I travel to Europe every year, but plan to go to Spain for the first time in 2026.  I’d like to hear from someone who has successfully entered Spain with the identifier on their passport.  Thank you!

    Might be better to fly into Portugal or France, and then go to Spain. There were reports of people being turned away but that might have only been at one airport. I am unaware of anyone else going directly to Spain recently

      Thank you for your comment. I just found out that we are going to take the train from Paris to Barcelona. Maybe that will be better?

        Should be fine. Last time I was in Spain (I’ve been a few times), they checked my passport when I traveled by ferry from Cueta to Algeciras and had no issue.

        I am of the opinion that the people who have had trouble in Spain were all at the same airport (but I could be wrong as I don’t have all the details here in front of me).

    Always travel with a lay-over in a Schengen country that is not your destination.
