Not sure what to say here so let’s try this:

I was a RSO from 1998-2014 for events that occurred 6 days after my 17th birthday in 1991. (The conviction was in 1998). I was able to be removed (after a legal fight) because I was a minor at the time and the only reason for the conviction was the other person was just over 3 years younger than me and actions were otherwise consensual. I was on probation from 1998-2010, did the mandatory SO program, all the rules, etc,  and am a convicted felon on 1 charge and received 5 years deferred adjudication on a second charge. For perspective, I’m 47 today and the “victim” is my sister-in-law’s 44 year old brother.

Since 2014, I have traveled to over 35 countries. I had my first problem traveling in 2016 while transiting from France through Mexico City. Florida still had me on the SO registry from a time I visited while still on the list and it someone sent a flag (but they didn’t know why). To this day, I can still not travel to Mexico unless I do it by cruise or by land crossing ans don’t pass any check points.

I have found out that my criminal history will start being sent by the Angel Watch program since the law change in 2019. I anticipate I’m likely to start having some issues.
